2008 Moscow Krishna Temple Letter of Appeal

Dear Friend,

Join us for this once in a lifetime opportunity to help build the first Hindu Temple and Cultural Center in Russia.

Since the fall of the Soviet Union the devotees of Lord Krishna and prominent members of the Indian community world-wide have struggled to gain government permission to share the glories of India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage with the people of Russia.

In September of 2007, the Moscow City Government donated five acres of land for the first Hindu Temple and Cultural Center in Russia.

Their only condition was that we start construction within one year. This means we have to raise $1.9 million USD by January 15th, 2008 to get all engineering, environmental, site development, and construction drawings for approval and permits by April 1st, 2008.

Will you help us meet this challenge?

At this festive time of Diwali, please take a moment to make a substantial donation to this worthwhile project. Please visit our website moscowtemple.org or click here to donate $100, $500, $1,000  or any amount you can graciously afford directly.

Whatever amount, I know that collectively we are the solution.

The temple and cultural center will be a world class facility located on high ground overlooking a beautiful river and protected forest lands. It is located in an upscale area known as the “Switzerland” of Moscow.

We have received on-going support for this project from the Indian Government and the British Parliament. Many great souls from the Indian community around the world, including America, Mumbai, London, Dubai, Canada, Calcutta, and Russia have been supporting this endeavor and we owe them our gratitude. Help us in our effort to make the first Hindu Temple in Moscow a reality.

I hope this meets you and your family in the best of health.
